It is my sincere hope to be a small part of a movement to demand that our elected officials step up to a higher standard. Become statesmen if you will. I often hear comments about how we expect pro athletes to be role models for our children. I believe that those elected to manage our cities, counties, states, federal government and most importantly our tax dollars. Should be held to the highest of standards and demonstrate themselves as the ultimate role models. I’m not seeing it and haven’t in my lifetime. The truth is I believe the quality of our elected officials is declining. Like your cars shock absorbers the good slowly goes away. Till one day you realize that these shocks suck. And that day has come for politicians, they suck. Our rights are being eroded, taxes are increasing and we struggle while politicians continue to live the high life. As they continue to seek more power and control over hard working American taxpayers. You and I have the power to start the process of a vast improvement in the quality of our elected officials. I could go on and on about different politicians and their corrupt sometimes criminal actions but that would serve to do little to make a difference. Mark Twain Challenged America to do Better. He challenges each of us individually to examine authority thoroughly before honoring it: "The Only True Patriot, The Only Rational Patriot, is Loyal to the Nation all the Time, and Loyal to the Government When is Deserves it."
